Rishad back to CID from hospital

MP Rishad Bathiudeen, who was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for a medical examination while being in the CID custody, was taken back to the CID today.

Bathiudeen is currently being detained upon a detention order issued under the Prevention of Terrorism Act in connection with the Easter Sunday attacks.

He was admitted to the hospital on July 17 for a medical examination due to an illness.

Meanwhile, the MP reportedly had requested the CID to admit him to a paid ward at the Colombo National Hospital.

However, the CID had turned down his request due to the investigations are underway involving the Parliamentarian.
