Protesting university students tear-gassed

Colombo, March 05 (Daily Mirror) - Tensions erupted near the University of Colombo as police resorted to tear gas and water cannons to disperse protesting students. 

The incident occurred shortly after reports surfaced of a road closure in front of the university premises due to the demonstration organized by a group of university students.

Furthermore, severe traffic congestion also gripped the area as the protesting students initiated a protest march.
