Protest held in Rajairiya over govt. failure to address public issues

A group of people gathered on the streets of Rajagiriya last evening and held a protest against the government's failures to address the public issues which had severely affected daily lives.

The protesters were seen carrying several placards which included "country is suffering, we need good governance, 225 go home, stop robbing our country, reduce cost of living and shortage of gas".

“If the rulers are not ruling the country properly, we should at least hold a campaign to wake them and show them that the people have a voice,” a citizen raised her matter.

“Every citizen in the country should raise their voices without waiting at home and let them know that public are suffering,”

“We cannot sit and wait anymore, people don't have food and power but the ruling politicians are having luxury lives. Public should take the matter to the streets peacefully, it is very important. The government should address these issue immediately before all the citizens come on to the streets,” the protesters claimed.
