Probe should be conducted on Kaplia Chandrasena’s affidavit: GL

Colombo, May 12 (Daily Mirror) - A probe should be conducted to determine the truth on the allegations made by former Srilankan Airlines Chief Kaplia Chandrasena who  mentioned in his affidavit prior to his death, Former Minister Professor G. L . Peris said today. 

" Late Mr. Chandrasena has said he was subjected to undue influence by a certain officer attached to Commission to Inquiry to  Investigate Allegations against Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) to mention two particular names with regard to the airbus leasing case. He said this in his affidavit. A probe has to be conducted to determine the truth of it" he said during a joint opposition media briefing.

" Cases should be probed in a transparent manner. One cannot be engaged in fabricating evidence " he added.
