Prison inmate escapes while transferred to treatment centre

An inmate at the Boossa Prison who tested positive for COVID-19 has escaped today.

Prisons Spokesman Chandana Ekanayake said that the prisoner had escaped while being taken to an intermediate treatment center in a bus.
