President Ranil Wickremesinghe has expressed condolences to Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi over the passing away of his mother.

"Deeply saddened by the passing of the beloved mother of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. My heartfelt condolences to Prime Minister Modi and the family in this hour of grief,” the President tweeted.
