President, Mahinda Rajapaksa visit Sanath Nishantha’s residence

Colombo, Jan. 25 (Daily Mirror)- President Ranil Wickremesinghe and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa visited State Minister Sanath Nishantha's residence in Colombo this morning, after learning of his sudden death.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa conveyed his condolences to the Minister's wife and children.

The former President told reporters that the sudden death of Sanath Nishantha is a great loss to the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), the contry and the people. 

"He was a Minister who took the lead in party activities and any task in the area," he said.
