Prepare for presidential election first -President tells Cabinet

Putting an end to the rumor's that the general election or the presidential election will be held first, President Ranil Wickremesinghe reportedly informed the cabinet of ministers yesterday (18) that the presidential election will be held first.

Therefore, the President has instructed the cabinet, which met yesterday, to prepare for the presidential election first, informed sources said.

He stated that according to the country's constitution, the presidential election should take place first, and arrangements will be made accordingly, sources added
