Police arrest nearly 200 for quarantine violations

A total number of 187 persons have been arrested for violating quarantine rules during the past 24 hours ending today (02) at 6.00 am.

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said  most of them have been arrested from the Trincomalee area.

Also during the searches carried out at 12 entry and exit points in the Western Province, more than 250 persons have been warned for violating quarantine regulations.
