Permission granted to reopen universities at a given date: UGC Chairman

Permission has been granted to resume university studies at any given date for the students who completed the 14-day period after the second COVID vaccine, University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof. Sampath Amaratunga said.

He told the Daily Mirror that health guidelines had been issued to all Vice Chancellors (VCs).

As for the first phase of the programme, the UGC had decided to summon only 25% of the university's student capacity. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
