Party Leaders to meet on Monday to discuss pandemic situation

Leaders of political parties representing Parliament are to meet next Monday (16) to discuss the current pandemic situation in the country,Sergeant-at-Arms Narendra Fernando said today. 

He said they will decide on holding sessions next week.

"It was decided earlier to hold sessions from August 17 to 20 but a meeting of Party leaders will make the final decision on Monday," he said. 

However, sessions will have to be convened to adjourn on Tuesday as per the standing orders.(Yohan Perera)
