Parliament approves resolution to extend emergency by another month

Colombo, May 7 (Daily Mirror) - Parliament today approved the resolution to extend the state of emergency for another month by a majority of 139 votes.

Some 145 MPs voted in favour of the resolution while six voted against. Around 72 MPs were absent during the time of voting.
