Colombo, August 7 (Daily Mirror)- Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, has instructed the Investigation Division of the Education Ministry to expedite ongoing investigations into complaints received regarding schools and to fill existing vacancies within the division to strengthen its capacity.

The directive was issued during a high-level discussion in Committee Room No. 1 of Parliament, where several key issues concerning education reforms were addressed.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Amarasuriya emphasised the need for timely and transparent investigations into complaints in the education sector and stressed that necessary steps should be taken to ensure the Investigation Division is adequately staffed and equipped.
