Over 5 children testing positive per day with Covid-19: LRH Director

There is an increasing tendency of children getting infected with Covid-19 where more than five children are admitted to the Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) daily, LRH Director G. Wijesuirya said.
 
He told reporters that there was a situation where only one child was admitted to the LRH with Covid-19 in a day about two weeks ago and that has risen to more than five now.

Dr. Wijesuriya said mothers are also detected with Covid infection and added that accordingly, eight to ten mothers and children are admitted to the Hospital daily. (Ajith Siriwardana)
