Over 12,000 tri-forces personnel promoted in line with War Heroes Commemoration Day

Colombo, May 19 (Daily Mirror)- Promotions have been granted to 217 officers and 12,217 other ranks across the tri-forces in recognition of the 16th National War Heroes Commemoration Day with the approval of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. 

The Sri Lanka Army has promoted 186 officers and 10,093 other ranks, the Sri Lanka Navy has promoted 22 officers and 1,256 other ranks while the Sri Lanka Air Force has promoted nine officers and 868 other ranks, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.
