Other wrongdoers should suffer same fate as Deshabandu: Mujibur

Colombo, August 5 (Daily Mirror) - Other wrongdoers should also suffer the same fate as IGP Deshanbandu Tennakoon, as they have also committed offences, Opposition MP Mujibur Rahman told Parliament today.

“We have heard that the vehicle in which the wife of the President's secretary had travelled had knocked down several people and injured them. The President's secretary should resign from his post. However, it has not happened. Some security officers of the President have been transferred for purchasing liquor on their return after a foreign trip with the Head of State. These officers should have been fired instead. You must deal with these persons in the same way you deal with Deshabandu,” the MP told the government.
