Colombo, May 23 (Daily Mirror) - A group of opposition MPs is set to request Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne to conduct a probe into Leader of the House Bimal Ratnayake, whom they accuse of acting in an undemocratic manner during parliamentary sessions.

"The current Leader of the House has failed to uphold the standard of conduct maintained by his predecessors," states a written request signed by MPs Hector Appuhamy, Kavinda Jayawardene, Rohini Kaviratne, and Chitral Fernando.

This development follows the Speaker’s decision to appoint a three-member committee to investigate MP Dayasiri Jayasekara, who has been accused of misconduct by ruling party MPs.
