Fever for 48 hours? See a doctor immediately, Health official urges



Colombo, June 6 (Daily Mirror) - People suffering from fever for more than 48 hours should seek immediate medical attention, Director of the National Anti-Malaria and Mosquito Control Campaign Dr. Prasanga Serasinghe has warned.

Speaking on the rise of mosquito-borne diseases, Dr. Serasinghe stressed that early diagnosis is crucial in preventing complications and controlling the spread of infections such as dengue and malaria.

He said that mosquito-related illnesses continue to pose a significant public health challenge and urged the public not to ignore symptoms, particularly persistent fever.

Health authorities continue to encourage people to seek medical advice promptly and eliminate mosquito breeding sites around their homes and communities.
