Nurses to go on sick leave tomorrow

The All Ceylon Nurses’ Union has decided to resort to a trade union (TU) action from tomorrow (31).

Union General Secretary H. M. S. B. Mediwatta said they were compelled to resort to a trade union action due to the failure of the authorities to provide proper solutions to the issues faced by the nurses engaged in treating COVID-19 patients.

Accordingly, the nurses will go on a sick leave campaign from tomorrow until June 01.
