Number of infected patients higher than official daily count?

Leading medical workers, in the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic have alleged that there is a discrepancy in the official count of infected patients released to the media.

Doctors told Daily Mirror that according to PCR/RAT tests being conducted daily, the present numbers were an estimated 4000 patients per day but what was being officially reported was between 2500 to 2900.

Doctors have said the numbers may hit as high as 5000 in coming days at the present speed the infection was spreading.

This has been brought to the attention of the Health Ministry. (JAMILA HUSAIN)
