New process to direct Covid patients to hospital in WP

New process of directing COVID-19 patients to hospital or treating them at home, based on their conditions, will start from today in Western Province, the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.

The new process will be operated over the phone and through SMS messages.

Accordingly, Covid patients are required to SMS their conditions to the hot-line 1904.

01) The process will use SMS and Over the Phone services.

02) COVID-19 patients are required to SMS to 1904 the following based on their health condition.

(A) Classification of Patients :

       01. Patients with breathing issues : A (SPACE)

       02. Patients with Fever : B

       03. Asymptomatic : C

(B) Age (SPACE)

(C) NIC (SPACE)

(D) Address (SPACE)

03) Details sent via SMS to the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) will be directly forwarded to the respective medical teams. Thereafter, based on the condition of the patient, teams will contact patients via telephone number 247 and then direct them to the necessary treatment facility.

04) The required ambulances and other treatment equipment will be provided, said the NOCPCO.

05) Those placed under the Home Quarantine will be contacted by a dedicated medical team via 1390.
