NPP Balangoda PS chairman resigns

Colombo, June 20 (Daily Mirror) - National People’s Power (NPP) representative Ranjith Udaya Kumara who was elected as the Chairman of the Balangoda Pradeshiya Sabha has stepped down from his post.

Following his resignation, Gamaethige Ariyadasa was elected as the new Chairman of the recently established local council. 

The appointment was made by Balangoda Pradeshiya Sabha Returning Officer Suranga Ambagahathenna to fill the vacancy.

A special gazette notification has also been issued to officially confirm the new appointment.
