Motorist qurantined after passenger aboard a bus carrying Covid patients spat on him

A motorist travelling along a road in Balangoda has been quarantined along with his family, after a passenger aboard a bus carrying Covid-19 positive persons spat on the motorist.

Following the incident the agitated motorist had boarded the bus to reprimand the betel-chewer, upon which he was informed that the bus was carrying Covid-19 positive passengers.

The passengers were en-route to a Covid-19 treatment centre in Watawala, Balangoda.

Following the incident the area PHI had instructed the motorist to self-quarantine. The motorist had left his belongings in the bus, which officers had delivered to his house after sanitization. (Lasantha Niroshana Perera)
