The Meteorology department said today that it expected showers with lightning, especially during the afternoon and night, due to the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
The department said showers would expect in most parts of the island during the evening while the Western Province, Galle and Matara districts would expect showers in the morning.
