Man falls to his death while taking selfie in Jaffna

A 31-year-old man died after falling from the Pannai bridge on the Thiwangal road in Jaffna while attempting to take a selfie, the Jaffna police said.

They said the victim had slipped from the bridge yesterday and washed away in the sea. The body of the victim was found this morning with the help of navy personnel, the police said.

The victim was later identified as Gauthaman, a resident of Jaffna. (Romesh Madushanka)
