Light of the star and birth of Christ make the world shine: PM

It is up to the people to see that this year's Christmas is used to bring new light and hope to the world which is hit by a pandemic, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa said in his Christmas message.

“This year's theme of Christmas "light of the star and birth of Christ makes the world shine. therefore it is up to the people to see that this year's Christmas is used to bring new light and hope to the world which is hit by a pandemic," the Prime Minister said.

“Christ Jesus set an example by working towards the well-being of marginalized people in the society. Lives of all Christians will shine if they follow the example set by Jesus," he said. “I take this opportunity to wish all Christians in Sri Lanka and the world a Christmas where they would see the real meaning of it".
