Keselwatta Dhanuka’s accomplice nabbed with Rs. 5Mn cash, cannabis

Kavishka Madushan Abeywickrama alias 'Wanathe Chathu' who is an accomplice of Keselwatta Dhanuka, has been arrested with 4 kilograms of Kerala cannabis and over Rs. 5 million in cash in Kotikawatta.

Police said the suspect was arrested while staying at a rented house, on a tip off received by the Intelligence Unit of the Colombo Crimes Division.

They said the suspect is a follower of Juud Betze, a key accomplice of Keselwatta Dhanuka, who died in Dubai.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Corruption Unit in the Colombo North Division have arrested a 25-year old woman in possession of 1 kilogram heroin which has a street value of Rs 10 million at Modara in Colombo.(DSB)
