Kandy Esala Perehara to continue despite quarantine curfew

Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said that despite the quarantine curfew which will be imposed, the Kandy Esala Perehara will continue without public participation.

Silva said this is as a mark of respect to the Sacred Tooth Relic.

A nationwide quarantine curfew will come into effect from 10 pm tonight till Monday, August 30.
