Impose travel restrictions between districts in EP: Governor

The security forces in the Eastern Province (EP) have been advised to impose travel restrictions between districts in the Province as a step to curb the spread of COVID, Governor Anuradha Yahampath today said.

She also requested to take necessary action to close shops in all towns in the province after 6.00 pm.

Meanwhile, she has instructed the security forces to prevent people from entering the cities after 6.00 pm, except as a matter of urgency and advised the security forces to use barricades between the district boundaries to stop the unwanted movement of people with immediate effect.
