Harsha says unaware of reports on Treasury Secretary appearing before CoPF

Colombo, April 30 (Daily Mirror) - The Committee on Public Finance (CoPF) has not been informed whether Secretary to the Treasury Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma is attending the CoPF meeting today as reported by some media, CoPF Chairman Dr. Harsha De Silva said.

Responding to media reports, he said in a post on X  "I do not know and I have not been informed. However, I did not accept his refusal to be present today and request for another day. I have written to him and told him that. The Committee will meet as planned."

Suriyapperuma had yesterday informed the Committee on Public Finance (CoPF) that he will not appear before the committee today.
