Harin denies defaulting electricity Bill

SJB MP Harin Fernando who has denied defaulting an electricity Bill said yesterday that he never owned a house in Colombo and he never occupied his official residence when he was a Minister in the previous government after 2019.

“I challenge those who accuse me of defaulting the electricity Bill to prove that I have done it and that I own a house in Colombo. I have never lived in Colombo and I did not occupy my official residence during the previous government since  2019,” he said.

“I have written to the Ceylon Electricity Board(CEB) notifying the real position,” he added.

A trade unionist earlier alleged that MP Fernando had defaulted his electricity Bill.(Yohan Perera)
