Grade 6 admission appeals (2026) open May 8–29 via online system

Colombo, May  7 (Daily Mirror) - The second round of appeal applications for admission to Grade 6 classes in schools for the 2026 academic year, based on the results of the 2025 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination, will be accepted online from May 8 to May 29, 2026, the Ministry of Education said.

Accordingly, parents and guardians will be able to submit appeals for a maximum of three schools through the Ministry’s official website Education Ministry -  www.moe.gov.lk 

Applicants can also directly access the online application system via Grade 6 Application Portal  http://g6application.moe.gov.lk to submit their appeals.

The Ministry said that the process has been fully digitised to ensure a more efficient and transparent admissions procedure, and urged applicants to complete submissions within the stipulated deadline.
