Grace period to renew vehicle revenue licence in WP

A grace period has been granted to renew expired vehicle revenue licence in the Western Province.

Accordingly, the revenue licenses for vehicles expiring from the 12 to 31 of this month will be valid until November 30 without any surcharge.

Western Province Chief Secretary Jayanthi Wijetunga said the decision was taken due to the breakdown of the computer system that issues vehicle revenue licenses from time to time.

As a result, there may be a delays in the issuing vehicle revenue licenses, she said.
