Grace period granted to pay traffic fines

The Postal Department today said a grace period would be granted to pay traffic fines delayed due to COVID outbreak.

Postmaster General Ranjith Ariyaratne said the Finance Ministry has approved the grace period for traffic fines issued after April 5.

He said people could still be able to pay their traffic fines during the pandemic situation exceeding 14 days without a surcharge.

He said the grace period concession would be valid until further notice. (Ajith Siriwardana)
