GMOA to meet President today

The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) will meet President Maithripala Sirisena today to discuss the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) in Malabe and urge the President to make a final decision with regard to the matter.

The meeting is scheduled to take place at 5.00 p.m. at the President’s House.

Speaking at a media briefing GMOA Secretary Dr. Navin de Soysa said the GMOA expected to discuss nationalising of SAITM, issues related to transfers, and a National Policy before finalising the ETCA, and giving admission in national schools to children of doctors, who completed foreign training.
