Functions permitted under quarantine curfew announced

The health Ministry has announced that all essential services such as health services and utility services should operate during the quarantine curfew period adhering to health guidelines.

Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardane said that persons engaged in permitted functions should be permitted to cross the boundaries.

He said religious gatherings, social gatherings, restaurant, hotels, guest houses, village fairs, tuition classes, sports festivals, cinemas and spas will not be permitted.
