Four police officers who died in Thirukkovil shooting promoted posthumously

The four police officers attached to the Thirukkovil Police Station who were shot dead by a Police Sergeant, were promoted to their next rank by IGP Chandana Wickramaratne today.

Accordingly, Police Sergeant (44132) K.L M Abdul Cader has been promoted from the rank of Police Sergeant to the rank of Sub Inspector while Police Constable( 8861) A. Naveenath has been promoted from the rank of Police Constable to the rank of Police Sergeant.

Also,  Police Constable ( 78857) T.B.K.P Gunasekara has been promoted from the post of Police Constable to the rank of Police Sergeant and Police Constable Driver (17382) D.M.T.H Pushpakumara has been promoted from the post of Police Constable Driver to the rank of Police Sergeant Driver. (DSB)
