Former Navy Commander presents credentials as envoy to Cuba

Former Sri Lanka Navy Commander Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne (Retd), who was appointed as Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Cuba, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel at the Palace of the Revolution in Havana yesterday (13).

President Ranil Wickremesinghe, designated Admiral Ulugetenne as Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Cuba in October 2023.

Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne served as the 24th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy. 

Accordingly, Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne (Retd) presented his credentials to the President of Republic of Cuba, marking the official commencement of his diplomatic mission in Cuba.
