Foreign Employment Bureau loses Rs. 615m over untrained workers: Deputy Minister

Colombo, July 7 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has incurred losses of Rs. 615 million due to untrained Sri Lankan nationals leaving the country for overseas employment, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment Arun Hemachandra told Parliament today.

He said the Government had also lost Rs. 101 million in Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue as a result.
