Five including ‘Lunawe Batti’ arrested in brothel in Moratuwa

Two men and three women including ‘ Lunawe Batti’ have been arrested for operating a brothel under the guise of running a motel that provides temporary rooms in Moratuwa early this morning.

Police said the manager of the brothel fled when the police raided the building.

Police said it was a serious violation of quarantine law to run a brothel at a time when quarantine laws are being imposed.

The arrested were residents of Kalutara, Lunawa and Hambantota aged between 42 and 56. (Reka Tharangani Fonseka)
