Electoral bribery fine raised to Rs. 100,000

Colombo, Jan 28 (Daily Mirror) - The government of Sri Lanka has decided to amplify the penalty for the offense of bribery aimed at influencing votes during an election.

Accordingly, the fine, previously set at Rs. 500, has now been escalated to Rs 100,000.
