Director General of the National Zoological Gardens, Ishini Wickremesinghe has resigned from her post.

State Minister of Wildlife Wimalaweera Dissanayake said that she had informed the President about her decision in a letter.

The State Minister said that she had informed in the letter that she would resign from the post due to personal reasons.
