Death toll climbs to 687 with nine more COVID-19 fatalities

A total of nine COVID-19 related deaths were reported today increasing the death toll to 687, the Government Information Department said.

Accordingly, a 65-year-old male from Karandana, a 72-year-old male from Avissawella, a 75-year-old male from Ruwanwella, a 66-year-old female from Devalagama, a 79-year-old male from Mawanella,  a 33-year-old youth from Yakvila, a 57-year-old male from Walapane, a 68-year-old male from Ratnapura, A 69-year-old male from Kuliyapitiya died of the virus.
