Customs agrees to release 991 detained BYD vehicles

Colombo, August 7 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Customs today informed the Court of Appeal that it has agreed to release 991 BYD electric vehicles (EV), which had been detained by the Customs, subject to several conditions.

This was revealed when the writ petition filed by John Keells CD Auto Private Limited was taken up before the Court of Appeal.

ccordingly, the vehicles will be released upon the submission of a bank bond.
