The current fuel crisis has not affected the operations of flight services in the country as we paid dollars directly to the Ceylon Petrolium Corporation (CPC), Aviation and Export Zones Development State Minister D. V. Chanaka said.
While commencing the scheduled international and regional flights from the Colombo International Airport, Ratmalana (CIAR) he said sufficient jet fuel will be supplied continuously to the country's airports.
"Currently, we have sufficient jet fuel in hand which would be enough for 15 days and another shipment of fuel will arrive by April 9. With the commencement of international flights, there will be no issue with providing jet fuel," the State Minister said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
