Constable drowns at Uswatakeiyawa

Pamunugama, Feb 12 (Daily Mirror) - The Pamunugama Police have initiated investigations after a police constable drowned while sea-bathing off the beach near the first basin, Uswatakeiyawa in Pamunugama.

Police said the deceased was a 24-year-old police constable attached to Grandpass Police Station and a resident of Badulla.

Investigations have revealed that the constable drowned while bathing in the sea off the beach with a group of fellow officers from the Grandpass Police Station.
