Considerable decline in Covid infected children at LRH: Director

The number of children who were under treatment for Covid-19 at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) has decreased to 95 by now, LRH director G. Wijesuriya said.

He said nearly 200 children were being treated at the Hospital a week ago.

He said this was a good sign and that he believed that this decline may be due to lockdown and  vaccination programme.

The Director also said that about 30 to 40 children were admitted to the Hospital daily and that the daily admissions had come down to 10 to 15 by now.
