Committee to look into MPs’ perks is a useless exercise: Former SJB MP

Colombo, October 03 (Daily Mirror) -  The appointment of a committee by incumbent President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to look into MPs’ perks is a useless exercise, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) former MP Mujibur Rahman said today.

"There is no need to appoint a committee to look into the perks enjoyed by MPs. It is also a wastage of funds. The President can get all the information on MPs’ perks from the Secretary General of Parliament," Rahman said.
