Chinese woman arrested with cigarettes worth Rs. 4.8 mn

A 30-year-old Chinese woman was arrested by Customs officers at the Bandaranaike Internatinal Airport (BIA) today when she was attempting to smuggle Rs. 4.8 million worth of cigarettes to Sri Lanka.

About 477 cartons of cigarettes were found in the possession of the suspect. (T.K.G. Kapila)
