Canadian goes missing at Hikkaduwa beach

Hikkaduwa, Jan 17 (Daily Mirror) - A 19-year-old Canadian national went missing while bathing off Hikkaduwa beach last evening.

According to the police, the Canadian was bathing in the sea despite warning signs of dangerous currents and was swept away. 

Both the police and the Sri Lanka Navy are conducting a search operation to locate the missing person, while Hikkaduwa Police continues investigations.
